Designed for chief executives, directors, consultants, managers, industry leaders, policy makers and academics, the programme provides an in-depth knowledge and sound understanding of governance related subject matter to enhance standards of best practice.
Corporate governance is becoming increasingly important across all sectors, large or small, private or public. Participants were exposed to fundamentals of corporate governance, principles, developments in Malaysia, consequences of weak governance and failures.
It also went through roles and responsibilities of board members, CEO, senior management and constituent committees, and oversight bodies.
In addition, there were multiple discussions on risk management framework, practical examples of good and bad practices as well as implementation strategies.
Upon completion, participants gained an understanding of the core corporate governance framework, insight into the importance of implementing good governance practices, increased practical knowledge and skills to make governance work for their organisations, demonstrated commitment to strengthen applications of good governance, developed a strong foundation to support a career pathway in governance, and opportunity to network with governance practitioners.
